Min-Hsiung
Pan received his PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from College of
Medicine, National Taiwan University. Currently he is a Distinguished Professor
in Institute of Food Science and Technology, National Taiwan University. He has
published 195 peer-reviewed articles in reputable journals and 16 book chapters
in the past 18 years. The major research focus of my laboratory is to
understand the molecular mechanisms responsible for natural dietary compounds
on human diseases and carcinogenesis. His current research interests focus on
the discovery and development of novel nutraceuticals that can be used in
functional foods/dietary supplements to prevent chronic diseases such as
cancer, inflammatory condition, epigenetic regulation, liver fibrosis and
obesity. 2007, Ta-You Wu Memorial Award of National Science Council, Taiwan, 2008,
46 Ten Outstanding Young People, Taiwan, 2011, Outstanding Research Award of
National Science Council, Outstanding Research Award of Taiwan Health and Food,
Elected
Fellow in the Agricultural & Food
Chemistry Division of the American Chemical Society, 2014.
