Dr Karen Abbey completed her foodservice PhD at the University of Queensland and has worked in the Residental Aged Care sector as a foodservice dietitian for over 25 years. Dr Abbey is the Chairperson for the Nutrition & Catering Institute, and currently program convenes the Masters of Nutrition & Dietetics course at the University of Queensland. Dr Abbey passion is foodservices, working and researching to improve the science and develop innovation ways to enhance and deliver services to residents.
