Susmita has completed his PhD in 1995 from the University of Georgia and postdoctoral studies from Emory University. She is a Professor, Preeminent hire and the Co-Director of Biostatistics and Epidemiology core of Clinical and Translational Science Institute at the University of Florida and a singer. She is a fellow of American Statistical association, American Association for the Advancement of Science and an elected member of International Statistical Institute. She was the past president of Caucus for Women in Statistics. She has published more than 100 papers and serves on the editorial board of multiple Biostatistics and Bioinformatics journals.
