Joumana Toufaily has completed her PhD at the age of 25 years Haute Alsace University, France and postdoctoral studies from Chemistry Institute of Poitiers’s Engineers (ESIP) in Poitiers, France.
She is the director of Laboratory of Applied Studies for Sustainable Development and Renewable Energy (LEADDER). She has published more than 80 papers in reputed journals. In 2011, she obtained a Fulbright grant and in 2012 has been selected as One of 12 Outstanding Women Scientists for the U.S. State Department's Middle East and North Africa 2012 Women in Science Hall of Fame program
